Mohs Histology Laboratory

South Texas Skin Cancer Center maintains an on-site laboratory for the histologic preparation of tissue specimens.  The laboratory is critical to the Mohs procedure as it produces the high-quality slides that Dr. O'Quinn uses to determine clearance of the cancer.  Our lab is CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments) compliant and approved, and inspected by the federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
